This is a "Blessing Basket" for a newly diagnosed Type 1 child or youth. It is already filled with simple and complex carb snacks and delivered to their home by another Type 1 parent. They will need to learn to read food labels, count carbs and calculate insulin from now on. This is one of the first practical services that Tyler Type One provides. Having another parent to walk with them during this adjustment time is vital.
