TYLER TYPE 1 DIABETES FOUNDATION

If you live with Type 1 Diabetes, you know that it is a daily, relentless challenge. It can be very frustrating in the short term, and frightening in the long term. Our mission at Tyler Type 1 Diabetes Foundation is to better equip insulin dependent people in East Texas, to live longer, healthier lives. Continued education and support is an important part of realizing this mission, so we are pleased to now offer a monthly support group to provide an opportunity to learn more and experience greater success in managing life with Diabetes.

When: The 3rd Thursday of every month, from 7:00-8:30pm.
Where: Calvary Baptist Church, located at 6704 Old Jacksonville (click here to view map)

We will spend a few minutes greeting each other, 30-45 minutes presenting on the topic of the night, and the last 30 minutes discussing general needs and questions. Refreshments and a door prize will be provided. Children living with Diabetes are welcome to attend, however please be aware that some topics may be disturbing and best introduced to them when they are older. A supervised movie will be shown in an adjacent room for those children who prefer not to attend the meeting. Below is a listing of the topics which are planned for this year. You are welcome to attend them all, or just those that interest you most.
